Three days ago, Ethan stormed out of their apartment and accepted a routine work assignment in the Appalachian wilderness of Ravenhill Valley. He was sent to retrieve archived survey files from an old ranger kiosk, completely unaware of what lay ahead. He never returned.

The entire valley has been strictly quarantined and sealed by the Federal Agency of Anomalous Threats following decades of unexplained vanishings, bizarre acoustic reports, psychological distortions and reports of reality itself fracturing. When the local police outright refuse to step foot across the restricted boundary, Hannah is driven by pure worry, love, and overwhelming guilt to enter the fog-bound woods alone.

As she moves deeper into the valley toward Cryptid Lake, she realizes the wilderness is alive, ancient, and deeply hostile. Whispers in the trees speak of forbidden Navajo traditions, skin-shifting predators, and a malevolent, starving entity bound to the soil that hungers for human remorse. To find Ethan, Hannah must confront not only the shifting dimensions of the valley, but the darkest secrets buried within her own heart.
